Description: As the nights lengthen Alchemy Music Series presents its final concert of the 2015 Season. The Alchemy team is delighted to welcome some outstanding Wicklow-based musicians – Alan Smale (violin) & and Ruby Ashley (oboe) will join Alchemy regulars, the group Sonamus, featuring Cormac Breatnach (whistles) Annette Cleary (cello), Rachel Factor (harpsichord) and Eamon Sweeney (guitars).
The evening will feature a wonderful mix of music including – music from the movies The Mission & The Deerhunter, Traditional Irish music, Vivaldi’s Guitar Concerto, Turlough O’Carolan, and Handel.

Greystones residents, Alan Smale and Ruby Ashley, were respectively Leader of the RTE National Symphony Orchestra for 20 years and former Principal Cor Anglais with the National Symphony Orchestra and Principal Oboe with Irish Chamber Orchestra.
Sonamus have been featured this month on TG4’s Arts Programme, Imeall and their new album has been CD of the week on RTE Lyric FM’s Blue of the Night programme.

Taking place in the beautiful Nun’s Cross Church the atmospheric music will be enhanced by candlelight, discrete stage lighting and the subtle skill of esteemed sound engineer, Ben Rawlins.
