Friday 13th April

4pm: Way with Words, Wicklow presents an lllustration workshop for 6-8 year olds with Oisín McGann. Mobile Library outside Ashford Heritage Centre. FREE.
7 – 8.30pm: Festival Launch Concert Nun’s Cross Church, Ashford. FREE. Performances by Perfect Friction (award-winning traditional group from Wicklow), composer Elaine Agnew & students of Nuns Cross NS & Scoil Coróine Mhuire NS, poet Nell Regan & students of Coláiste Chill Mhantáin KWETB.

Saturday 14th April

1pm: Lunchtime Concert: Emerging Artists – Michael Stedman (guitar), Ava Dodd (Soprano), Eric Sheeran-Purcell (Piano). €5/€3. Ashford Heritage Centre.
2.30pm – 5.30pm : A writing workshop along the ‘Seamus Heaney Woodland Walk led by writer David Butler and naturalist Richard Nairn.
Meet at the Ashford Heritage Centre to car pool to Devil’s Glen Woods. €10/€5. Sponsored by Coillte.
8pm: If Music and Sweet Poetry Agree: Concert: Nun’s Cross Church, Saturday 14th April. Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin – ‘Ireland Professor of Poetry.’

10–11.30am ‘Fighting Words’ Children’s Story Workshop 6-10yr olds. Fun and imaginative workshop, Free, booking essential. Scoil Coróine Mhuire.
12.15–1.15pm: Judi Curtin – Bridge Street Bookshop presents the best-selling children’s author. 8–12yr olds. €3. Ashford Heritage Centre.
12.30pm: Toddler Music (2-5yr old) workshop with Eamon Sweeney €5 per child. Limited to 15 children plus guardians. Scoil Coróine Mhuire NS.

•    Discussion led by Kevin O’Shanahan on the role of the arts in supporting mental health
•    Testimony of the therapeutic benefits of music as a component of the Recovery Model
